The Ancient Kingdoms Festival is set to captivate visitors from 20 November to 6 December, 2025, inviting guests to explore the rich tapestry of human history against the stunning backdrop of AlUla.

This year’s theme, “Journeys Through Time,” offers a unique opportunity to experience the area’s ancient heritage, as the desert city becomes a living museum filled with stories from past civilizations.

Located at the crossroads of the historic Incense Road, AlUla has long been a hub of culture and trade. Festival-goers can walk along paths once used by traders and explorers, immersing themselves in an experience that engages all the senses.

The festival highlights the people of AlUla—storytellers, artisans, rangers, and historians—who will share their crafts and narratives, enriching the experience. Activities will range from intimate workshops to grand spectacles, celebrating the cultural treasures and living traditions that define AlUla.

Among the festival’s key attractions is the return of Hegra After Dark, running until 14 February, which offers a magical night journey at Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site. This immersive experience combines light, sound, and flavor to reveal the mysteries of the Nabataean civilization.

From 20 to 29 November, the festival will feature the “Stories from the Sky” Hegra Drone Show, transforming monumental tombs into breathtaking displays of light and movement, while the Hegra Candlelit Classics will offer music and heritage under the stars.

Tickets for the Ancient Kingdoms Festival are now available, promising a season filled with culture, history, and sensory wonder.

Tickets for the Ancient Kingdoms Festival vary by experience, generally ranging from about SAR 95 (USD 25) to SAR 1,295 (USD 345)  depending on the specific activity or event.
