The entertainment sector in Saudi Arabia experienced significant growth and expansion during the third quarter of 2025, according to a recent report from the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) with a total of 12.6 million visitors recorded.
This represents a significant increase compared to earlier quarters, highlighting the growing momentum of Saudi Arabia’s entertainment sector as part of Vision 2030.
In this period, 468 entertainment events were organized across 116 cities nationwide, while the number of companies operating within the sector also rose to 6,499.
On the regulatory front, the GEA issued 1,839 licenses, representing a notable 48.9 percent increase compared to the same quarter last year.
These licenses encompassed a wide range of entertainment activities, including live performances and recreational centers, contributing to the sector’s expansive growth.
The report highlighted a 4 percent increase in the number of oversight visits, which exceeded 24,200, underscoring the ongoing commitment to ensuring compliance with approved regulations and standards in entertainment activities.
Notably, the compliance rate for licensed activities reached 93 percent, signaling improved quality and efficiency in supervision.
Visitor satisfaction also saw a significant boost, with the satisfaction index climbing to 94 percent, up from 89 percent in the previous year—a 5 percent increase.
To maintain high standards for professional entertainment, the GEA evaluated over 203 events, 672 recreational centers, and 13 amusement parks as part of its classification program for activities and investors.
