Gordon Ramsay Academy to Launch First International Branch in Saudi Arabia

August 16, 2025

The Gordon Ramsay Academy is set to make its international debut in Saudi Arabia, with the opening of its first overseas branch in Riyadh later this year. Located at the upcoming Narjis View Mall, the Riyadh academy will be the third worldwide, joining existing academies in the United Kingdom.

The new culinary school will provide a wide range of courses and diplomas designed to accommodate all skill levels. From complete beginners to experienced cooks, participants will be able to explore a variety of hands-on classes. The curriculum will cover British classics, Asian cuisine, bakery, and confectionery, offering students both breadth and depth in their training.

The initiative comes as Saudi Arabia experiences a surge of interest in gastronomy and culinary education. With more residents seeking to enhance their cooking skills and pursue careers in food and hospitality, demand for professional training in cooking, baking, and pâtisserie has grown significantly. The arrival of the Gordon Ramsay Academy aims to address this need by offering structured programs led by experienced chefs.

The project is being developed in partnership with Alkhaleej Training and Education, a leading Saudi education and training provider. Beyond Riyadh, plans are underway to establish additional academies in Jeddah and Al Khobar, expanding access to culinary education across the Kingdom.

Backing the academy is Gordon Ramsay himself, one of the world’s most recognisable culinary figures and multiple Michelin star restaurants like Restaurant Gordon Ramsay which holds three Michelin stars in Chelsea, London. With a global restaurant empire, bestselling cookbooks, and extensive television work, including his role on MasterChef (2010 – present) and Hell’s Kitchen (2005 – present), Ramsay has built a reputation as both a chef and mentor. His involvement is expected to bring international visibility and credibility to the academy’s expansion.

The Riyadh branch is scheduled to welcome its first students before the end of the year. By offering opportunities for hobbyists, aspiring professionals, and those seeking formal qualifications, the Gordon Ramsay Academy aims to contribute to the Kingdom’s growing food culture while supporting the development of local talent.
