Historic First: WrestleMania Heads to Saudi Arabia in 2027

September 15, 2025

For the first time in its nearly four-decade history, WWE’s biggest annual spectacle, WrestleMania, will take place outside the United States and Canada. Triple H, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, announced on Friday alongside Turki Al Shaikh that WrestleMania 43 will be hosted in Riyadh in 2027 as part of Riyadh Season, marking a major milestone for both WWE and Saudi Arabia’s growing role in the global sports and entertainment industry.

The announcement came during a press conference in Las Vegas, where WrestleMania 42 will be staged in 2026. Triple H was joined by WWE legends and stars including The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Stephanie Vaquer, Logan Paul, and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.

A Global Stage Comes to Riyadh

Traditionally held in major American cities and occasionally in Canada, WrestleMania has never ventured beyond North America. The decision to bring its 43rd edition to Riyadh reflects WWE’s strategy to expand its global footprint, while aligning with Saudi Arabia’s ambition to establish itself as a premier destination for world-class sporting and entertainment events.

WrestleMania is far more than a single night of wrestling. The event spans five days of programming, beginning with Friday Night SmackDown, followed by two nights of WrestleMania itself, then Monday Night Raw and Tuesday Night NXT. Alongside the matches, the Hall of Fame ceremony and fan festivals turn the host city into a week-long celebration of professional wrestling.

The scale of WrestleMania has brought enormous economic benefits to past host cities. Over the last decade, the event has generated more than USD 1.5 billion in cumulative economic impact, attracting tens of thousands of fans in person and millions more watching worldwide.
