Al Mirkaz Returns: How Jeddah’s Ramadan Tent Became a Cultural Institution

February 12, 2026

In Jeddah, Ramadan has a geography.

There are streets that feel different after Maghrib, neighbourhoods that glow with a softer light, and certain places that have, over time, become inseparable from the rhythm of the holy month itself. Among them is Al Mirkaz, the city’s iconic Ramadan tent, which will return for its seventh season in Ramadan 2026 with a renewed Iftar and Suhoor experience shaped by Hijazi hospitality and the living heritage of Historic Jeddah.

Reservations opened on 10 February 2026, but for many in the city, Al Mirkaz is already part of the Ramadan calendar long before a booking is made.

Located on King Abdulaziz Road and operated by Leylaty Hospitality Group, Al Mirkaz has, over the years, evolved beyond a seasonal dining venue into something closer to a cultural ritual. What began as a luxury Ramadan tent has become a reference point for how large-scale hospitality can reflect local identity without losing refinement or precision.

Ramadan Through a Hijazi Lens

For 2026, the concept draws directly from the warmth of Hijazi homes. The rituals of gathering, generosity, and shared dining are translated into an immersive buffet experience for both Iftar and Suhoor, delivered at scale but shaped by the intimacy of domestic tradition.

Guests enter a space defined by elegant Ramadan décor and a five-star buffet that blends Saudi and international cuisines. Beyond the buffet area, a lounge offers hot and cold beverages and a dedicated lounge menu designed for slower evenings that stretch into Suhoor. The lounge is reserved for adults over 18, reinforcing the sense of Al Mirkaz as both a family destination and a refined social setting.

This balance between cultural authenticity and operational excellence is central to the venue’s identity.

“Al Mirkaz represents the soul of Ramadan in Jeddah,” said Hashim Al Attas, CEO of Leylaty Hospitality Group. “It is a reflection of Jeddah’s identity, its generosity, and its deep rooted traditions. With each season, we challenge ourselves to honour that legacy while raising the benchmark for what a large-scale Ramadan experience can be. Ramadan 2026 represents a new chapter, one that celebrates Hijazi, craftsmanship, and hospitality with even greater depth.”

A Seasonal Landmark

In recent years, experiential dining rooted in culture has begun to shape the future of hospitality across Saudi Arabia. Al Mirkaz stands as one of the clearest examples of how heritage, scale, and refinement can coexist without compromise.

The tent’s luxurious setting, stunning décor, and careful attention to detail create an environment where guests do not simply eat but settle in. Families gather for Iftar. Friends reconnect over Suhoor. Conversations stretch long into the night in a setting that feels both grand and familiar.

Al Mirkaz has become part of how Jeddah experiences Ramadan, reinforcing the city’s long-standing reputation as a cultural and culinary capital during the holy month.

The Experience

The buffet format allows guests to move between traditional Saudi dishes and international offerings, while the lounge provides a more relaxed space for beverages and lighter fare. The atmosphere is designed to reflect the elegance of Ramadan while remaining warm and inviting.

Iftar is priced at SAR 560 per person. Suhoor is also priced at SAR 560 per person. The lounge experience is priced at SAR 295 per person.

Service begins at Maghrib prayer each evening, and reservations can be made by calling 012 606 6666 once bookings open or via Seven Rooms.

For many in Jeddah, Al Mirkaz is not simply where Ramadan is celebrated. It is where Ramadan feels most like itself.
