Saudi Arabia’s Global City, Dammam, is set to return for a larger second season, featuring new international pavilions, artificial intelligence experiences, open-air markets, and entertainment attractions as the project aims to attract more than 5.2 million visitors.
Global City Dammam is a seasonal tourism and entertainment destination in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province that combines international pavilions, food, shopping, and cultural experiences from around the world.
Launched in late 2025, the project attracted more than three million visitors during its first season and is now preparing for its largest expansion since launching. Daily attendance is expected to reach between 22,000 and 26,000 visitors.
Eastern Province Mayor Fahad Al-Jubeir described the project as a successful example of cooperation between the public and private sectors, adding that the new season aims to build on the success of the first while creating a destination that combines culture, entertainment, innovation, and business opportunities in one location.
Among the biggest additions this year is the launch of the Future District, an interactive zone dedicated to artificial intelligence, robotics, and emerging technologies, alongside a new Asian Village overlooking the waterfront and the Kabayan Night Market.
The second season will also introduce a dinosaur-themed entertainment area and an interactive fountain, while expanding spaces dedicated to families and visitors of different age groups.
Global City Dammam will feature 23 international pavilions showcasing cultures from around the world, with Iraq and Oman participating for the first time. Existing pavilions will also be redesigned to better reflect the identities and heritage of participating countries.
Five open-air international markets are also set to open as part of the expansion, alongside 13 restaurants, 60 food and beverage kiosks, and six cafes.
The project will also introduce a new investment zone offering flexible spaces for entrepreneurs, investors, and emerging brands as Saudi Arabia continues efforts to encourage private sector participation in tourism and entertainment projects.
According to the Eastern Province Municipality, the expansion is intended to strengthen Dammam’s position as a regional destination for tourism, culture, and investment.
