Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind Saudi Arabia’s leading regenerative tourism destinations The Red Sea and AMAALA, has introduced a new nature-based offering: Botanica. Formerly known as the Red Sea Landscape Nursery, Botanica is not just the region’s largest nursery but now also a fully immersive experience for visitors seeking to connect with nature and explore sustainable living up close.
Spanning more than 1.8 million square meters, Botanica has quietly powered the landscaping of RSG’s destinations since 2020, cultivating and supplying over seven million plants to date. That number is set to rise significantly, with a goal of growing 30 million plants by 2030. Starting this month, Botanica opens its gates to the public, offering guests at The Red Sea, AMAALA, and beyond the chance to explore the project firsthand.
A Living Experience Rooted in Regeneration

“Botanica is more than just a nursery — it’s a step towards regenerating Saudi Arabia’s rich biodiversity. After providing us with more than 7 million plants for landscaping our destinations, the nursery now becomes our first guest experience that caters uniquely to the RSG DNA of regenerative tourism. Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy immersive, hands-on experiences that reconnect them with nature,” said John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global in a statement.
Visitors can expect more than just a walk through a garden. The experience includes guided tours, hands-on planting opportunities, a tropical area, and a garden shop. There is also Botanica Café, offering a tranquil space to enjoy breakfast or lunch amid a living, breathing landscape.
Botanica also plays an important role in the community, employing around 400 people, with 25 percent from nearby communities, reflecting RSG’s wider goals of supporting local livelihoods and building long-term value through tourism. It joins a growing list of curated visitor experiences at The Red Sea, including WAMA (water sports), Galaxea (marine adventures), and Akun (land-based excursions), all launched in 2023.
