The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) has opened volunteer registration for this year’s Hajj season, inviting Saudis and residents to contribute their time and skills in support of one of the world’s largest annual pilgrimages.
In an announcement on its website, the SRCA outlined four key tracks through which volunteers can participate: paramedic, humanitarian, media, and logistics.
The paramedic track focuses on delivering emergency first aid and assistance before specialist teams arrive, offering crucial support in high-pressure moments. The humanitarian track is centered on care — volunteers help pilgrims by distributing water, snacks, and offering basic guidance during their journey.
Those with creative skills can apply for the media track, where volunteers will document behind-the-scenes efforts through photography, videography, and editing — showcasing the human stories and service that power the pilgrimage. Meanwhile, the logistics track supports the broader operation, assisting with the transportation, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment across various Hajj sites.
The SRCA described the initiative as more than a call for help — it’s an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build meaningful skills, and contribute to lifesaving and community-building efforts. Volunteers are encouraged to register through the authority’s official platform.
The campaign reflects a growing emphasis on civic engagement and service culture in Saudi Arabia, particularly during events of national and spiritual significance like Hajj. Last year, thousands of volunteers supported Red Crescent efforts, reinforcing the vital role that citizen participation plays in the Kingdom’s broader humanitarian mission.
