Saudi authorities have rolled out on Thursday 5 June a comprehensive self-help e-book designed to educate and guide pilgrims undertaking the Hajj and Umrah through the rituals of these sacred journeys.

This initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, aims to enhance the spiritual experience of over 1.25 million pilgrims this season.

The smart rituals guide is available in multiple languages—Arabic, English, Urdu, French and many other languages—making it accessible to a diverse group of pilgrims from around the world.

With the ease of modern technology, pilgrims can simply use their smartphones to access download points located throughout Makkah, Madinah, and other holy sites.

By selecting their preferred language, they can easily upload the guide to their devices, ensuring they have essential information at their fingertips.

This initiative is part of broader educational efforts launched by the ministry, designed to equip pilgrims with the knowledge necessary to perform their rites correctly and in accordance with Islamic teachings.

In addition to this innovative guide, Saudi authorities have deployed other technologies to enhance the safety and efficiency of the Hajj experience.

This includes the use of drones for delivering medical supplies and employing artificial intelligence to monitor and assist pilgrims throughout their journey.

As Saudi Arabia continues to embrace technology in its religious services, the introduction of the multilingual e-book stands out as a vital tool for pilgrims. It underscores the kingdom’s dedication to making the Hajj and Umrah experiences as accessible as possible.
