Riyadh Air Officially Launches with Five New Destinations Announced

June 11, 2026

Saudi Arabia’s newest airline, Riyadh Air, has taken a new step toward launching commercial operations by introducing its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and opening bookings for five international and regional destinations.

The carrier has confirmed flights to Cairo, Dubai, Jeddah, Madrid, and Manchester, with services scheduled to begin gradually from mid-June. The launch follows the arrival of the airline’s third Boeing 787-9 aircraft, further expanding its growing fleet.

Riyadh Air plans to operate all initial routes using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners as part of a long-term fleet strategy that includes 72 aircraft. Company executives said additional destinations will be announced soon as the airline accelerates preparations for full operations.

The airline has also moved up the start date of its London service due to faster-than-expected aircraft deliveries and operational readiness, highlighting the pace of its expansion plans. The first flight to London took off on 8 June 2026.

According to company officials, Riyadh Air expects to have 10 aircraft in service by the end of 2026 and aims to connect Riyadh with more than 100 destinations worldwide by 2030. The network strategy is designed to strengthen travel links between Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa while supporting Saudi Arabia’s ambitions to become a leading global aviation hub.

Alongside ticket sales, Riyadh Air introduced its loyalty program, Sfeer, which offers benefits such as complimentary onboard Wi-Fi, family points sharing, and priority access to future route launches for founding members.

Passengers flying on Riyadh Air’s Dreamliners will be able to choose from four cabin classes,  Business Elite, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy, featuring modern onboard technology and upgraded comfort across the aircraft.
